Barack Obama's Deficit Commission Member List By Name

Barack Obama's Deficit Commission Members:
Erskine Bowles, Alan Simpson, Ann Fudge, Alice Rivlin, John Spratt, Andy Stern, Dick Durbin, David M Cote, Paul Ryan, Jeb Hensarling, Dave Camp, Xavier Becerra, Jan Schakowsky, Judd Gregg, Tom Coburn, Mike Crapo, Max Baucus and Kent Conrad.
My opinion, for what it's worth. They're a bunch of rich folks, most of them politicians, with Conflicts of Interest, for example:
   1. David Cote, a multimillionaire who is CEO of defense contractor Honeywell, a former GE executive, a board member of JPMorganChase, and a member of the CEO group, the Business Roundtable.
   2. Ann M. Fudge, who is CEO of Kraft and former CEO of Young & Rubicam Brands, and who sits on the board of Novartis, GE, and Unilever.
   3. Only one economist: Alice Rivlin, former Director of the Office for Management and Budget, who co-authored a report advocating for $47 billion in cuts to programs like Social Security, raising the Social Security age, and reducing inflation adjustments.
   4. 12 current members of Congress including Senator Tom Coburn, Rep. Paul Ryan, and Sen. Max Baucus.
   5. There are only 2 members of the commission considered to be progressive: Rep. Jan Schakowsky and Rep. Xavier Becerra
How can I take the Deficit Commission serious when the Deficit Commission co-chair, Alan Simpson, seems to be preoccupied with cows and tits?

1 term President (4.00 / 2)
I'm not sure what Obama is trying to do other than be a one term president. He sides with the right on almost every issue.Wake up!!! These are the people who got us in this awful mess 2000-2008.The Democrats can win this fall if they use the Social Security card against the "RATS",and they can lose if they continue to side with them. The RATS have been trying to get rid of SSI for a while and my opinion of why is that it will give big business more money since they have to match what we pay each week. That would give big business billions more and make workers work until they die. That seems what the RATS want,us work more years and them get richer.Sounds like a typical repub.policy to me,how about you?
