"Never before have so few with so much promised to take away so much from so many and then laugh their asses off as the so many with so little vote for the so few with so much." A James Pence Quote
"American Politics, a sport for the rich and enslavement for the rest of us." A James Pence Quote
Boy, leave it to the media in this country. They are so wrapped up in a good story they care little about the very thing they are supposed to do. Tell the American people the truth. With the new right-wing media and the old supposedly "liberal" media that is close to right-wing, America gets a raw deal when it comes to getting the truth reported to them. Take the response to Obama's Iraq speech as an example. Who do the media look to to respond?? The liars who got us into a huge, costly, idiotic mistake to begin with.
Yes, to respond to Obama's speech about ending the tragic mistake made on purpose by traitorous liars who could care less about the lives and money wasted the media turned to the very liars who wanted all of this so badly to begin with.
Liars such as "Turd Blossom" Karl Rove:
WHIG promoted view that Saddam "had weapons of mass destruction and was seeking more." The Los Angeles Times reported on August 25, 2005, (accessed via Nexis) that WHIG "promoted the view that Hussein had weapons of mass destruction and was seeking more":
The group consisted of Rove, Libby, White House Chief of Staff Andrew H. Card Jr., then-national security advisor Condoleezza Rice and her deputy, Stephen Hadley, and Mary Matalin, Cheney's media advisor. All are believed to have been questioned in the leak case; papers and e-mails about the group were subpoenaed.
Before the war, this Iraq group promoted the view that Hussein had weapons of mass destruction and was seeking more. In September 2002, the White House embraced a British report asserting that "Iraq has sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa."
Of course then as we all remember, Rove treacherously outed a CIA agent because her husband exposed the lie and got away with treason because he was Karl Rove.
Ah, which brings us to Stephen Hadley. He was the one that cooked up the "yellow cake" lie that led to Joe Wilson disproving it causing his wife to be outed by treasonous elements like Rove in the Bush Administration:
Deputy National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley in a rare on-the-record session with reporters, said that he had received two memos from the CIA and a phone call from agency Director George Tenet last October raising objections to an allegation that Iraq was seeking to buy uranium ore from Africa to use in building nuclear weapons.
As a result, Hadley said the offending passage was excised from a speech on Iraq the president gave in Cincinnati last Oct. 7. But Hadley suggested that details from the memos and phone call had slipped from his attention as the State of the Union was being put together.
Then there is Ari Fleischer. We all remember the many lies told by him to drive the American people into war in Iraq. Here are a couple:
"Well, there is no question that we have evidence and information that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, biological and chemical particularly ... all this will be made clear in the course of the operation, for whatever duration it takes." [3/21/03]
"Well, there is no question that we have evidence and information that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, biological and chemical particularly ... all this will be made clear in the course of the operation, for whatever duration it takes." [3/21/03]
"There is no question that we have evidence and information that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, biological and chemical particularly. ... And all this will be made clear in the course of the operation, for whatever duration it takes." [3/21/03]
Ah, but despite this very dubious history these men are called upon to dispute President Obama's speech about ending combat operations in Iraq??
First you have "Turd Blossom", a traitor, liar and all around un-American piece of garbage, spewing this nonsense:
Rove: "This was not a well-delivered speech." On September 1, Fox News' On the Record with Greta van Sustern hosted Rove to attack Obama's Iraq speech, saying: "[T]his was not a well-delivered speech." Rove called Obama's mention of Bush "an attempt at graciousness" that "didn't succeed," and he criticized Obama for not taking a "confident" tone that showed "a celebration of what has happened" in Iraq "to this point."
A celebration?? Of what?? The thousands of young Americans that died needlessly?? The over a trillion dollars wasted?? Of course Rove wants a celebration. He did not lose a loved one because of his own lies. He made out fat as the defense contractors who profited so much sweetened the deal for him. For the families who lost loved ones and the American taxpayer who footed the bill there is no celebration. Only a realization that men like Rove should be in jail, not on Fox News.
Even worse was Fleischer. One again he fell back upon a favorite Republican talking point. You know, the idiocy that somehow the Iraq War was akin to World War II:
FLEISCHER: Probably the most profound meeting I ever sat on at the White House was a meeting with Elie Weisel. Just President Bush, Elie Wiesel, Condi Rice was there and myself. And the president asked Elie Wiesel - Nobel Peace Prize winner, Holocaust survivor - should he remove Saddam [Hussein]. Wiesel said yes, and then he added, "If only the world had listened to Winston Churchill in 1938 or 1939, World War II and the Holocaust could have been avoided. And I thought to myself, if the world had listened to Churchill in '38, people probably would've said "you exaggerated the threat of Hitler. You know, who says there was a World War coming?" We'll never know what we averted by getting rid of Saddam and how many lives were saved as a result of removing the threat of Saddam Hussein.
There is absolutely no comparison between WWII and Iraq. There was no standing army the blitzkrieged anywhere and conquered millions of people, murdering millions more in a genocide. Anyone who believes that is quite simply an idiot, or profited from their own lies. While we may never know how many lives were saved, we know how many were lost right along with American treasure that went to the "base" of the liars. Once again, Fleischer should be in jail not on MSNBC.
Finally, Hadley got to discuss whether Obama was "acknowledging the previous administration was right":
Kilmeade hosts Hadley to discuss whether "the president is finally acknowledging the previous administration was...on the right track in the middle east overall." On the September 1 edition of Fox News' Fox & Friends, Brian Kilmeade hosted two Bush administration officials, Margaret O'Sullivan and Hadley, to discuss whether "the president is finally acknowledging the previous administration was right - was on the right track in the Middle East overall."
Right?? They let Osama bin Laden walk away scot-free. They wasted thousands of lives and over a trillion dollars. They committed treason not only by outing a CIA agent but by lying through their teeth to get a war they knew the American people would not support with their lies and using it to call anyone who pointed out their lies cowards or worse, traitors. They were the real traitors, to truth, justice and their country.
These folks represented a dark chapter in American history. Their lies, and idiocy will haunt the history books long after they have been buried six feet under. What is disgraceful is that people are put in jail daily for committing far less serious crimes that them. In fact, instead of being cuffed and stuffed like they have earned they are celebrated as "experts". Watch the lie-fest here:
