MoveOn Attacking Rand Paul - You Can Help

( - promoted by Hillbilly)

About a week ago MoveOn launched an ad attacking Rand Paul for the flood of money he is getting from the Chamber of Commerce.

Knowing there is no way it can match the millions being poured into the Rand Paul campaign by corporate interests and Republican front groups, MoveOn has begun a "bird-dogging" campaign designed to earn media coverage to offset at least some of Rand Paul's dirty money.

YellaDog :: MoveOn Attacking Rand Paul - You Can Help

In this campaign, local MoveOn members dress up as lobbyists representing "RepubliCorp" (Republican + Corporate Interests) and "thank" Mr. Paul for things like putting mining profits over miner safety, protecting businesses from the "tyranny of the disabled", supporting signs in restaurant windows that say "no blacks", etc.

You can help!

  1. If you find out about a Rand Paul event scheduled anywhere in Kentucky, e-mail YellaDog and he'll let MoveOn know about it.
  2. Join your local MoveOn Council so you'll get invites to Rand Paul Bird-dogging events.  Anybody can dress up like a lobbyist with an attitude!  There are active councils in Louisville, Lexington, and Northern Kentucky.
The better showing at his events the more media coverage, and the more media coverage, the less effective all his corporate millions will be.

Billionaires give 91 percent of funds for Rove-tied group
The latest fundraising numbers from the conservative American Crossroads show the super-rich continue to pony up
New FEC filings show that American Crossroads, the Karl Rove-backed group that is pouring money into attack ads targeting Democrats around the country, continues to be funded virtually entirely by billionaires.

In August, American Crossroads raised $2,639,052. Fully $2.4 million of that -- or 91 percent --  came in the form of gifts from just three billionaires.
