               WAKE UP KDP

Let the ORDINARY citizens play your game. Those not obligated to special interest!

If speaking out makes any difference then   Mr. Moore should make sure that more ordinary citizens are involved in the KDP. So far this has been a mutual admiration society of people with like interest....the good old boys and yes, the good old girls and long term incumbents.

The most immediate past of the KDP was blemished by allowing Jerry Lundergan to take the lead in the General Election. While many in the USA had a good feeling that Barrack Obama would be elected, that made little difference to the previous KDP people. In the rural areas the party was able to deliver for Hillary Clinton, but when it came to the CITIES it was a different story.

Why?

Don't tell me the KDP could not feel the pulse or see the surveys in the last election. As a matter of fact, I have it on good authority GOVERNOR STEVE BESHEAR was asked to get out in front of the Obama campaign as it would be good for Kentucky.

As a Democrat  I wonder why we saw few, if any OBAMA speeches by the Governor. It could be he may have consulted his political  "gang"  and been advised backing a man of color for the United States President was not in his best interest for re-election?

If the KDP wants to get energized they need a massive outreach program. Go into the counties and put together an organization that can encourage new candidates to enter the race and teach people how to get organized and become active. It seems that anyone that has an issue, with the way things are handled by the KDP, is an enemy. And, that is just a bunch of bulla.

If we can't attract young people to the Democratic Party then eventually we will loose the toe hold the D's have in Kentucky, if not already. If the D's want to get support from the next generation then they need to have some opened minded young people on the committee who can raise a questions without being shot down. I can't think of any place that it is more important to spearhead new thinking than in RURAL AMERICA. It will be harder, but it will last longer . . . lessons learned.

Right.....I mean.....left on! (0.00 / 0)
I was on Mike Moore's page which led me to Buzzflash, when I saw your banner and had to check it out. Good for you people. I try and tune into American politics since they can literally influence societies around the world (Iraq/Afghanistan !!!!) and especially here in Canada. It can be an exasperating experince to say the least. The last decade seem to show an rural American taste for everything and anything Republican. Again the old adage, "things are not what they seem", comes into play. Especially with a complicated nation such as America. Good to see progressive rural America speaking up and demanding to be heard. Personally, I think every human being should have a chance to have a decent life..... be they black, white, orange:), yellow, gay, rich, poor; woman or man or child. Here in Canada our Universal Health Care gives me the feeling that we care about each other and that we are in this miracle called LIFE together. But we have to be vigilante. The corporates are always trying to get their foot in the door, either with scare tactics and/or using their foot soldiers in the media and/or government. I hope your voices gather strength and diligence becomes your motto. I'll check in when I can. Thank you and take care. jbcanuck.
