"Never before have so few with so much promised to take away so much from so many and then laugh their asses off as the so many with so little vote for the so few with so much." A James Pence Quote
"American Politics, a sport for the rich and enslavement for the rest of us." A James Pence Quote
The American voter, in most cases, seems to believe they have two choices when they vote. The voter can vote Republican Or Democrat and choose between getting the shit kick out of them everyday or getting the shit kicked out of them every other day. It's a process the American voter has accepted and that's why I call it the "Battered Voter Syndrome."
Most voters I know will go to any length to justify getting their ass kicked by the the politician and/or political party they're, for lack of a better word, married to. I call this denial.
Denial Denial of "Battered Voter's Syndrome" occurs when the "Battered Voter" denies to others, and to himself/herself, that there's a problem. Most battered voters will make up excuses for why their political Party has kicked the shit out of them and the "Battered Voter" generally believes that getting the shit out of them will never happen again.
The political party and/or politician then lays a guilt trip on the "Battered Voter" by telling him/her I had to kick the shit out of you because you're a no good lazy son of a bitch looking for a handout and you're expecting too much from me and that puts me in a shit kicking mood. This takes the "Battered Voter" to guilt. Guilt "Battered Voter Guilt" occurs when a "Battered Voter" truly recognizes or acknowledges that there is a problem. The "Battered Voter" recognizes he/she has been the victim of numerous ass kickings and that he/she may get the shit kicked out of them again. During this stage most "Battered Voters" will take on the blame or responsibility of any ass kickings they may receive. "Battered Voters" will begin to feel guilt and question their own character and try harder to live up to the expectations of his/her political party.
Most people I know have a real need to be part of something, especially when it comes to politics. We've all seen folks stick out their chest and say I'm a God fearing Republican and all of you Democrats are baby killers. Then we hear other folks stick out their chest and say I'm a Democrat and Republicans are money loving, hypocritical pseudo Christians. Then we sit back and watch while both parties Democratic and Republican start wars, pass job killing bills like NAFTA, allow folks on Wall Street to steal us blind, promote the outsourcing of American jobs, ignore off-shore tax havens, etc.. That's what I call an ass kicking and/or getting the shit kicked out of you!
So what should a "Battered Voter" do? Hope and pray the political party that's kicking the shit out them will change, or are there other choices the "Battered Voter" hasn't even considered? How about a divorce from the kicking the shit out of you two party system? Or just not participating? Can you imagine what would happen if we had an election and nobody voted? Don't even try to tell me it's my civic duty to vote for a politician or political party that's kicking the shit out of me, I ain't falling for that phony guilt trip bullshit.
The American political system is broke. It ain't my fault and I ain't taking responsibility for the mess our two party political system has put us in. The time has come for the "Battered Voter" to stand up to the political parties doing the battering or continue to get the shit kicked out of them. I'm for the former rather than the later. I've had enough and Hell hath no fury like a voter scorned.
