Yesterday, August 23, 2011 we visited the Christian County Clerk's web site. We paid our $15.00 to get access to their public records. We found a couple of documents we were interested in and printed them out (at 50 cents per page) like the 1986 deed where Ed Whitfield and his, now ex-wife, sold the 108 Alumni Ave Hopkinsville KY, 42240 property to his parents for $67,000. Click here and here to view the 1986 deed pages 1 and 2 respectively.
Then we went to the 2001 108 Alumni Ave Hopkinsville KY, 42240 Deed of Conveyance, the same property that Ed Whitfield and his, now ex-wife, sold to Ed Whitfield's parents and it appears Congressman Ed Whitfield paid $1.00 to get his name on the deed. Remember this is the same property that Ed Whitfield sold to the same people in 1986 for $67,000 and now it appears he's getting his name back on the deed for $1.00. So what's up with this?
When we tried to print out the 2001 Deed of Conveyance, we noticed it said "Do Not Publish", printed and hand handwritten. I don't know if this was a message for the Christian County Clerk's office or what, but when we paid our $1.50 to print the three pages, unlike the other documents we printed out, the three pages were blank. We felt like this was something Congressman Ed Whitfield and possibly the Christian County Clerk's office might be trying to hide and if someone like me complained that they couldn't print out this document they could possibly write us off as being less than capable of printing out a document we paid $1.50 to print and this is why we paid another $1.50 to print out the 2001 Deed of Conveyance, but this time we captured it with a QuickTime screen recording, a two minute video ( Click here to view, best viewed full screen 1080p) while we were attempting to print out the document to eliminate all doubt and any excuses we might receive from the Christian County Clerk's office. We have the 3 2001 Deed of Conveyance documents and they didn't come from the blank pages we paid $3.00 for on the Christian County Clerk's site. It wasn't easy, but we got them and here they are. Click here, here and here to view pages 1, 2 and 3 of the 2001 Deed of Conveyance documents respectively.
So what's significant about the July 2001 Deed of Conveyance? It's 4356 WESTOVER PLACE WASHINGTON, DC 20016-5552, the place Congressman Ed Whitfield bought 3 months before the July 2001 Deed of Conveyance. Ed Whitfield needed his name on a Kentucky residence. That's what's significant and what's more significant is this: Congressman Ed Whitfield doesn't reside anywhere in Kentucky and that includes 108 Alumni Ave Hopkinsville KY, 42240!
How does a Florida property transaction taking place in Washington, DC with a Kentucky Notary Public signature sound? Stay tuned!
Congressman Ed Whitfield screwed up when he put his real address on these two Federal documents.
