| Myself and Jim started this site to try and make a difference for Progressives and Democrats in rural America. We hope to bring rural issues and candidates to light, and give rural Americans a forum in which their issues and candidates will not be ignored. However, we cannot do it alone. |
| RDemocrat :: Hillbilly Report Welcomes Shack |
| We had hoped to attract more good writers from all over America to come and join and be on our frontpage. We don't want writers that agree with us on everything, but want a blog that reflects the wide range of beliefs held by all rural Democrats in which we can discuss our views respectfully.
With that in mind, I contacted Shack from The Rural Democrat blog here in Kentucky. We had met a few months ago while I was still at bluegrassroots, and I have read much of Shack's writing.
Shack is intelligent, articulate and respectful of other's opinions. While we don't agree on everything Shack has a firm grasp on rural issues and is driven to elect Democrats from these areas.
So, a big Hillbilly Report welcome to Shack. We look forward to reading what you have to say about the fight to restore representation to rural America. |
