Update: Tuesday July 3, 2012: Senator Mitch McConnell cancels event at Kentucky Consular Center at Goldbug, due to suspicious package. A suspicious package in Whitley County? What's new with that?

According to our sources Senator Mitch McConnell will be speaking at the Jackson Purchase Medical Center, in Mayfield, Kentucky Friday July 6, 2012. We don't know the exact time yet. Our sources tell us it will be a closed meeting with some hospital staff, not open to the public.

According to the Hardin County News Enterprise Senator Mitch McConnell held a similar meeting at Hardin Memorial Hospital July 2, 2012.

Hardin County News Enterprise
“We can’t continue to pick up the tab for this many people for this long,” McConnell told a room full of hospital staff Monday morning at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

It was one of the Senate minority leader’s first stops in Kentucky after a controversial 5-4 ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court last week upheld the constitutionality of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, which has come to be known as Obamacare.

Senator Mitch McConnell wrote this OP-Ed July 2, 2012: "My fight to defend First Amendment will not falter." OK Senator McConnell I understand  freedom of speech, but what I don't understand is this: I don't have the freedom to hear what you have to say in closed meetings, in places that are partially funded with my tax dollars. Furthermore you're denying regular folks like me the opportunity to ask you real questions and hear real answers in real time.

Senator Mitch McConnell you can call these closed door meetings in taxpayer funded non-profit facilities what you want, that's freedom of speech, but we know what they really are. Senator McConnell you have a history of avoiding your constituents and reporters here in Kentucky and I'm here to tell you that ain't freedom of speech, it's hiding from your constituents. Hell you've even used the bathroom excuse to avoid reporters.

So Senator Mitch McConnell have fun sneaking around Kentucky and speaking to the right-wing choir, but don't be surprised if you're greeted by a few honest hard working folks that want to exercise their 1st amendment rights to ask you a few questions. See ya!

Btw Mitch have you read this:

WPSD 6
Jackson Purchase Medical Center of Mayfield, Kentucky has voluntarily entered into a settlement with the United States of America to pay $998,770.74 to settle allegations that it submitted false claims in violation of the Federal False Claims Act.
