You won't believe what you're about to read. I had no knowledge of the West Kentucky Star before I went to Paducah, Kentucky last week to see the CNN Express.
When I arrived home from Paducah I found an email in my in box linking me to this West Kentucky Star article. Note that the article is a screen shot, because the article has been changed. The article said "An informational meeting will be held at 6pm Thursday, August 27, at Heartland Worship Center in Paducah." I contacted several people and we started researching Karen Farthing and Dr. Shawn Jones. We found, in our opinion, they were too biased to conduct any kind of Health Care Information meeting especially in a church. Of course this is just our opinion and it's important for our readers to know how we came to that conclusion.

Dr. Shawn Jones of Paducah, Vice-President of the Kentucky Medical Association, appears to be a large contributer to Republicans, see contributions by Shawn Jones at the bottom of this post, and we all know how Republicans feel about Health Care reform, like Hr 3200. We made several comments on the post, that have since been removed and emails were sent to Heartland Worship Center in Paducah asking them not to allow what we considered a very biased Health Care Information meeting to be held in their church.
Lo and behold I go to the site today and find out that the West Kentucky Star Health Care Information meeting has been moved from Heartland Worship Center in Paducah to Trace Creek Baptist in Mayfield. I suspect and this is just speculation on my part, that Heartland Worship Center actually read the emails and canceled the West Kentucky Star Health Care Information meeting. Now West Kentucky Star has found another church to hold their Health Care Information meeting and that church is Trace Creek Baptist in Mayfield, Kentucky.
West Kentucky Star is owned by Bristol Broadcasting Company and Bristol Broadcasting Company owns radio stations like WKYX 94.3 and WKYX 94.3 features folks like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity and claims to have a listening area of Paducah, Mayfield, Western Kentucky and Southern Ill.
I don't believe it's acceptable for a church of any kind to allow folks like these to use their facilities to express their, what I believe, biased views for any reason, of course that's just my opinion, and that's why I'm suggesting you email or phone the folks Trace Creek Baptist and West Kentucky Star and let them know how you feel.
