While the members of the US House of Representatives and the US Senate seem willing to let the United States of America slide into the abyss of third world status, it really isn't their problem, it's our problem. We will be the ones that will suffer and the millionaire members of the US House of Representatives and the US Senate will be just fine.
We, the American people, are not without blame for the bull$hit that's going on in Washington, DC, because we're just as lazy as the members of the US House of Representatives and the US Senate. We, the American people, have relinquished our supervisory authority (yes they work for us) over members of the US House of Representatives and the US Senate, and we let them do as they please, rather than hold them accountable.
When employers let employees run wild, with no supervision the employer is asking for a disaster and that's what we have in Washington, DC., a disaster. It takes work to supervise folks that work for you and the American people, in my opinion, have taken the lazy way out and let members of the US House of Representatives and the US Senate do as the damned please, so when America falls into the abyss of third world status don't bitch about it.
So what should we do? Since the members US House of Representatives and the US Senate aren't doing anything in Washington, DC. but playing games it's time to bring all of them home and let them know what we expect. When I was a supervisor/superintendent and one of my employees got off track, I called the the employee to the office and we resolved the problem and that's exactly what I think we should do with the members of the US House of Representatives and the US Senate. Call them to the office and find out why they're not doing their job. How do we do that? It's easy. Tell them to come home and face their constituents and by constituents I don't mean the US Chamber of Commerce, I mean real people in open public meetings, announced in advanced. It's time for us to do our job and our job is to tell the members US House of Representatives and the US Senate we expect them to actually work for us and to stop playing games on our dime! |
