Hey Rep. Grayson, Don't Apologize!!

A Congressman from Florida has made some controversial comments that Republicans have compared to "liar crier" Joe Wilson. They are all up in arms and are calling for Rep. Alan Grayson to apolegize, as well as using this to turn Nancy Pelosi's words against her.
RDemocrat :: Hey Rep. Grayson, Don't Apologize!!
It all started on the House floor:

WASHINGTON -- A Democratic congressman from Florida is refusing to apologize for saying that Republicans want Americans to "die quickly" if they get sick.

Rep. Alan Grayson made his comments on the House floor Tuesday night while criticizing Republican health care proposals as a "blank piece of paper."

"If you get sick, America, the Republican health care plan is this: die quickly," he said. "That's right. The Republicans want you to die quickly if you get sick."

His remarks weren't spontaneous: He reinforced the point with signs saying the same thing.

Now Republicans as mentioned are comparing these remarks to the "liar crier" Joe Wilson. However, there is one stark difference. Wilson's comments came during a Presidential address to a joint session of Congress, not during debate on the House floor. They went as far as to attack Nancy Pelosi over comments she made:

Ken Spain, spokesman for the House Republican campaign arm, said Democrats should be "lining up to call on him to apologize."

"House Speaker Nancy Pelosi now has an opportunity to condemn the very behavior and tone of this health care debate that she claims will 'incite violence,'" he said, referring to Democratic concerns that the bitter tone of the health care debate could lead to attacks.

Thusfar, Rep. Grayson has yet to apolegize and I sincerely hope he will not. First, it seems as if his comments have a ring of truth to them as Republicans will do anything to defeat any kind of real healthcare reform even as over 40,000 people a year die from lack of adequate insurance.

Secondly, when are the Republicans going to apolegize for the lie spread by Caribou Barbie, who lied viciously and tried to convince America's seniors Democrats want to march them in front of "death panels" and euthanize them?? When will they apolegize for the right-wing idiot talking heads on the radio lying and saying that Democrats were creating a "death book" to include in the healthcare bill?? What about them saying that Democrats were Nazis and Socialists for wanting a better healthcare system??

Now that they are getting a taste of their own medicine they are realizing just how bitter it can really be. Since Republicans created this tone, let them apolegize for all thier lies and outrageous statements and then maybe we can apolegize for ours.

So to Rep. Grayson, DON'T APOLEGIZE!! It is about time a Democrat showed some guts and we have got your back all the way!!

You're just what we need. And you were only saying what Americans are thinking!
