As if the real Mitch McConnell coddling the Communist Chinese while holding his throat to the American worker was not scary enough, AFSCME decided to surprise some folks in Louisville, Kentucky. Wanting to remind Kentuckians about the obstructionist policies of Mitch McConnell, policies that would cost them jobs and funding the union projected a silent video of McConnell for passers by to consider. Yes, not merely content with just delaying the compensation for the 2.5 million workers the policies of George W. Bush rubber-stamped by him created, now McConnell seeks to block aid to state governments that could save or create close to a million jobs for state employees such as policemen, firemen and teachers.
You know, one thing that led to so much disaster in the Bush White House was that Republicans refused to speak out when their leader was wrong. Instead of trying to change some of the mistakes he was making, they rubber-stamped every single wish of that President. That was particularly dangerous to our country when the Republican Party controlled both the Congress and the White House. That attitude caused many of the failed policies that got us into two wars incompetently, and crashed the economy.
After it was reported Sunday that many state employees it has spurned lawmakers, including Speaker of the House Stumbo to look into the policy, or lack thereof for state employees recieving overtime.
