Email West Kentucky Star And Trace Creek Baptist Church. Let Them Know How You Feel.

by: Hillbilly

Thu Aug 20, 2009 at 02:01:31 AM EDT

You won't believe what you're about to read. I had no knowledge of the West Kentucky Star before I went to Paducah, Kentucky last week to see the CNN Express.
When I arrived home from Paducah I found an email in my in box linking me to this West Kentucky Star article. Note that the article is a screen shot, because the article has been changed. The article said "An informational meeting will be held at 6pm Thursday, August 27, at Heartland Worship Center in Paducah." I contacted several people and we started researching Karen Farthing and Dr. Shawn Jones. We found, in our opinion, they were too biased to conduct any kind of Health Care Information meeting especially in a church. Of course this is just our opinion and it's important for our readers to know how we came to that conclusion.
Karen Farthing, a reporter for WestKentuckyStar.com, claims to have studied proposed Health Care legislation and has already stated her position on it, click here to view it, if it's been taken down, click here to view a screen shot.

Joe The Hummer?

I had been watching and following Ali Velshi and the CNN Express when it started in Georgia and when I heard they were coming to Paducah I knew I had to be there. I followed them on CNN and twitter and had a good idea when they might arrive in Paducah, but I didn't know where exactly where they were going to be. I gambled and went downtown. My gamble paid off. Minutes after I arrived The CNN Express pulled in, Ali Velshi and all.
I immediately began to shoot video and much to my surprise Ali Velshi asked me for an interview. We did the interview and I resumed shooting video and taking photos. As people began to gather around The CNN Express Mike Watt a free lance and political photographer suggested that CNN Express have a Town Hall meeting there. The CNN Express crew liked the idea and got several people to participate. I wasn't asked to be part of the group and had no input. All I was interested in was shooting video and photos.
While shooting video of the impromptu Town Hall meeting I was approached by what I consider a very rude young man. He asked me, who picked these people to be on the Town Hall panel? I responded by asking him what do you mean by these people? He responded by asking me, do you know these people? I responded by asking him do you know these people? He responded by asking me if I was with CNN? I told him no. I asked him again what he meant when he said these people and he began to say a few things about Heather Ryan. We then got into what I consider a heated discussion he reached over and touched my arm and I pretty much told him where to go! The young man then went over to Mike Watt and began talking to Mike and then managed to worm his way in to the impromptu Town Hall Meeting and make, what I consider, a total ass of himself on national TV with the infamous Hummer comment. Of course that's just my opinion.

CNN Express Comes To Deep Red Kentucky To Talk About Health Care. Photos, Videos

by: Hillbilly

Click here to read RDemocrat's  post about this.
Paducah, Kentucky a place where folks send "Black Hurricane" emails and part of a county that gave John McCain and Sarah Palin 61.9% of the vote in the 2008 Presidential election was visited by Ali Velshi and the CNN Express.
CNN seems to be trying to get a feel as to how regular folks feel about Health Care Reform. So when the CNN Express bus pulled up in Paducah, what do you think happened? Well it was pretty uneventful in the beginning. The CNN Express didn't let anyone know where they going to be and when they going to be there. Smart move because this eliminated the junk going on at some of the so called Town Hall Meetings.
Ali Velshi and his crew went right to work interviewing folks and as folks began to gather around the CNN Express, Mike Watt a free lance photographer suggested to Ali Velshi that he Ali Velshi hold a Town Hall Meeting right there on Paducah's Riverfront. Ali Velshi ran with that and a impromptu Town Hall Meeting was set up. The CNN Express crew wired folks up with wireless mikes, brought chairs out of the CNN Express bus and set up the impromptu Town Hall Meeting inside a gazebo right there on Paducah's River Front.
