John Waltz and Democracy for America

by: RDemocrat

Sat Jul 10, 2010 at 23:03:34 PM EDT

I was thinking it was just a matter of time. A matter of time until everyone else started to realize what I already knew. John Waltz in Kentucky's Fourth Congressional District has quietly turned into a very viable contender. Waltz has been working hard and one need only look at the money he has raised on ActBlue to be impressed. Now, Democracy for America is noticing the hard work and vision the Waltz campaign is offering and has nominated them as one of the top grassroots campaigns in the country.

Speak to BP in the Only Language They Understand

by: RDemocrat

Thu May 27, 2010 at 17:03:16 PM EDT

We all know it has been well over a month since greed and incompetence from BP has caused the worst oil spill in the history of the world. Despite this they refuse to let anyone but themselves near the spill to investigate or offer solutions. It is time we stood up to these greedy corporations who care nothing of the human and ecological costs their actions cause. Democracy for America is trying to do just that.

Democracy for America Taking on "Insurance Democrats"

by: RDemocrat

Tue Nov 24, 2009 at 17:22:08 PM EST

I have been a proud member of Democracy for America, the group founded by Howard Dean after his failed Presidential bid and before his hugely successful run as Chairman of the DNC for quite some time. This organization of Progressive Democrats are not afraid to fight for a more Progressive America even if it means fighting against folks in our own party. The current healthcare debate is nailing it home to all Progressives just why we need such an organization.

Proponents of Real Reform Fighting Back

by: RDemocrat

Mon Sep 28, 2009 at 13:04:32 PM EDT

Over the last many weeks Progressives have not only been told that single-payer is "off the table", but now many are attempting to convince us that even a viable pulblic option is a non-starter. Lost on them seems to be the fact that poll after poll shows a wide majority of Americans support the idea of more choice through competition, something the health insurers have obviously not provided. Well, some Progressive groups are tired of being in the majority of public opinion but apparently in the minority of lawmaker thought. Now, they are fighting back with ads to try and put pressure on those who would ignore the will of the people.

Senate Dems Vs. All of Us

by: RDemocrat

Sat Jul 18, 2009 at 22:00:10 PM EDT

Democracy for America has teamed up with Progressive Change Campaign Committee to put pressure on Corporate Democrats. These Democrats want our support, but may not support us. Why?? They are beholden to corporate interests.
