Big PHARMA, Are They Thieves With A License To Steal?

by: Hillbilly

Wed Nov 18, 2009 at 15:59:52 PM EST

When my wife had a prescription of Levaquin filled and the cost for seven 500 mg. pills was $90.42, I just couldn't believe it. I went to Canada Drugs and found their cost for the same medication was $43.04. My wife needed the medication immediately and there wasn't time to wait for a Canada Drugs mail order and since she's in the Medicare Part D Doughnut hole, she had to pay the full price. Thanks Big PHARMA.

House Progressives Preserve Public Option

by: RDemocrat

Fri Jul 31, 2009 at 11:50:13 AM EDT

A new compromise has been reached after negotiations with rebelling liberals on the deal struck earlier with Blue Dogs. The last minute agreement should move the bill through committee and preserved some subsidies to the working poor, preserved a public option and cut drug costs more deeply.

by: RDemocrat

Tue Jul 28, 2009 at 11:54:29 AM EDT

The good news is that no compromise has been reached on the Healthcare Bill in the Senate or the House. In the Senate, we have Corporate Democrats negotiating with Republicans to kill real reforms and in the House we have the horribly disgusting and traitorous Blue Dogs who are determined to kill real reforms.

House Unveils Healthcare Plan, Uncertain Fate Awaits in Senate

by: RDemocrat

Tue Jul 14, 2009 at 17:02:09 PM EDT

After President Obama came back from overseas and "persuaded" Congress to get serious about Healthcare, lawmakers in the House have gotten on the ball. They unveiled their plan today to overhaul the system. It has a lot of good things in it, but predictably awaits an uncertain fate in the "House of Lords" known as the U.S. Senate and will probably draw opposition from Corporate Democrats as well as Republicans.

Rep.George Miller (CA), To Hold Hearing On Single-Payer June 10, 2009

by: Hillbilly

Mon Jun 08, 2009 at 23:57:11 PM EDT

The Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions Subcommittee of the House Education & Labor Committee will hold a hearing titled “Examining the Single Payer Health Care Option” this Wednesday, June 10th at 10:30 am at the 2175 Rayburn House Office Building, Washington, D.C.
Will C-SPAN cover it or cover it up? My guess is they won't televise it unless they receive thousands of calls, so give them a call at (202) 737-3220 and tell them what you think.
