As expected the Republicans in the Senate said no to those whose livelihoods they gutted when they controlled Washington. Forget the fact that men like Mitch McConnell and yes, Ben Nelson who is a Republican and should get out of our party soaked up huge salaries while soaking the middle-class with policies that decimated them while enriching Corporate fatcats and the Chinese Communists. Of course the whole Republican Party, Mitch McConnell and Ben Nelson want you to forget. What they do not want is to bear any of the responsibility of their actions both in the past and now as working Americans who paid the price from Republicans and Corporate Democrats and the robber-barons in Corporate America getting fat, crashing the economy, and getting bailed out.
We all remember "the Architect" of the Bush Administration, Karl Rove. Yes, "the Architect" laid the foundations for trillions of wasted taxpayer dollars in the middle-eastern wars, Corporate Welfare, and deregulation which led to the crashing of our economy. Far from being satisfied with a failed Presidency that spurned a crashed economy, loss of American jobs, loss of American morale and prestige, Rove has moved on to newer things. However as it turns out every thing this man touches turns to failure.
Across the country a strange phenomena is occurring. Republicans are taking to the airwaves en masse complaining of taxes being raised. This is sort of ironic when millions of Americans are seeing their taxes cut. Ah, but the Republican hangup centers around the Bush tax cuts and the fact that the ones on the very wealthy will be allowed to expire.
Ah Karl Rove. A liar so disgusting even his own friends dubbed him "Turd Blossom". Now, realizing he was the "architect" of one of the most dishonest, disgusting and corrupt Administrations in history he is seeking to rewrite history and diffuse he and his former boss's sorry spot in it. However, his writings on the Bush years are full of even more lies, and an assault on all of those who exposed the Bush agenda for what it really was.
I have been pretty tough on President Obama. Anyone who has read my writing the last several months knows that. This is because I feel he has been taking baby-steps in fixing our nation's problems and has compromised way too much to people who need a good slap-down. I seems as if Obama is more worried about offending the lunatic right that will hate him no matter what than he is in delivering the "hope and change" that Progressives, and indeed the American electorate begged for in the last election.
Well, we have a healthcare bill passed in the House. While I have very mixed feelings on the bill, it is at least a step in the right direction, albeit a baby step. However, as while I wanted the bill to be stronger and fear it's fate in the "House of Lords" known as the U.S. Senate, I will not sit idly by as Conservative idiot "pundits" lie about the process which gave birth to this historical vote.
Man, some people never learn. After treasonably outing a CIA operative and lying to send us into the wrong war in the wrong country wasting hundreds of billions of dollars and thousands of lives, as well as spearheading the idiotic policies that crashed our economy, neo-con loser Karl Rove is still spouting his BS, cheered on by Right-Wing loudmouth and fellow idiot Bill O'Reilly:
These guys need to take some of the money they made crashing the economy and buy a clue!!
