McConnell Tapes Expose the Disgrace of the Kentucky Democratic Party

by: RDemocrat

Mon Apr 15, 2013 at 22:48:22 PM EDT

One thing the "McConnell tapes" may be doing. Finally, for once exposing the disgrace that is the "leadership" of the Kentucky Democratic Party. This group of folks seems best at doing two things. Denying the Progressive ideals they are supposed to espouse, and of course snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory. Now these tapes have made one thing clear. Either the Kentucky Democratic Party simply does not care to defeat Mitch McConnell, or they actually would like to see him reelected.

Ashley Judd Out Of Kentucky Senate Race, Who's In?

by: RDemocrat

Thu Mar 28, 2013 at 00:19:41 AM EDT

After much hope and fanfare among national Democrats and many in Kentucky Ashley Judd has decided not to run against Mitch McConnell in 2014. While she is definitely an intelligent, compassionate lady that would have made a great Senator it appears as if she probably did not want to go through the meat-grinder that would have been the hypocritical Republican propaganda machine and the millions of dollars of mud that Mitch McConnell would have slung her way.

What If? Now Is The Time To Send The Kentucky Democratic Party A Message. Vote For Barack Obama.

by: Hillbilly

Fri Aug 24, 2012 at 18:02:58 PM EDT

Most of Kentucky's Democratic elected officials are hiding from the 2012 Presidential election and when it comes to supporting President Barack Obama they are missing in action. This isn't a fight they want to fight. So it's up to us and I believe this is the perfect time to send our ball less and clueless Kentucky Democratic elected officials a message and the message is this: Vote for Barack Obama!

What If, in spite of the Kentucky Democratic Party, we show up at the polls and Barack Obama carries Kentucky? This can be our time and expose the Kentucky Democratic Party for what it is, "all grass and no roots." It will take a grass roots effort for Barack Obama to win in Kentucky, but if we can do this it will make the history books. Let's not let this chance slide by without a fight. It's a fight I want to be in (fighting the Kentucky Democratic Party and the Kentucky Republican Party). How about you?

Living As A Progressive In Rural Kentucky Ain't For The Weak Or Timid!

by: Hillbilly

Tue Oct 18, 2011 at 10:19:23 AM EDT

If you live in rural Kentucky, or rural America I understand what you're up against. Much too often the big city progressives look down their noses at us and the right wing conservatives hate us and I'm not using the word hate lightly. Like I said progressives living in rural Kentucky, or rural America ain't for the weak or timid.

By Bob Layton Blue Bluegrass
Forty-three years ago today, on June 5, 1968, Robert F. Kennedy gave his life for public service, when on that day he was assassinated in Los Angeles. On Friday, June 3, 2011, The Women’s Network presented an extraordinary and compelling speech by his daughter, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend. Townsend has recently authored the book, “Failing America’s Faithful: How Today’s Churches are Mixing God and Politics and Losing Their Way.” Read the entire article over at Blue Bluegrass,

November 2, 2010 Jack Conway And The Kentucky Democratic Party Have Some Splaining To Do!

by: Hillbilly

Tue Nov 02, 2010 at 23:18:59 PM EDT

For the record. I voted for Jack Conway for the reasons I stated In this article:
Sep. 15, 2010 Hillbilly Report
First let me say that I'm voting for Jack Conway, here in Kentucky this November, even though his silence indicates he agrees that folks like me are f*$king retards and professional left wingers. I'm voting for him, not because he failed to stand up for real Healthcare reform when he had a chance. Not because he's really tough on drugs, as he proclaims. Not because he's really a "Tough Son Of A Bitch." Not because he failed to stand up to the Tea Party Express and people like Mark Williams, and not because he wants to keep the George W. Bush tax cuts for the rich intact.
I'm going to vote for him because I believe he's just a little better, let me repeat that, just a little better, than his far right opponent Rand Paul. However, if Jack Conway wins, and I don't think he will, folks like me will be will be looking for a real Progressive to primary him in 6 years.

If you're ready to accept anything the Kentucky Democratic Party and Jack Conway have to say or do then I suggest you read no further!

The Kentucky Democratic Party Needs To Get With The Program Fixing Their Website Would Be A Start

by: Hillbilly

Mon Nov 01, 2010 at 01:13:00 AM EDT

Update November 1, 2010 7:28 pm: I  see the KDP has corrected the Daviess County, Grant County and Logan County web site links.

Last night I went to the KDP website and clicked the Daviess County website and much to my surprise the link sent me to an Open DNS Guide. I right clicked the KDP link copied the link and pasted it to Text Edit and the link was http://www.daviesscountydemocrats.com/. I then did a search for Daviess County Democrats and found the real link was http://daviesscountydemocrats.org/ and that's when I decided to spend several hours checking the KDP site and write this article.

Jack Conway won the Kentucky Democratic primary for the US senate and my question is this: Is Jack Conway, as he proclaims "One Tough Son Of A Bitch"  We'll See!
I'm one of those folks out here in Red State Kentucky looking for a real progressive to vote for. Is Jack Conway the man?

In 2010 Kentucky Democrats will arrive at the Crossroads

by: Shack

Sun May 17, 2009 at 13:15:18 PM EDT

In 2010 the rural faction (the majority) of our Kentucky Democratic Party will either be strengthened by the nomination of the Moderate/Conservative candidate Daniel Mongiardo, or will be forever changed with the nomination of the so-called Liberal candidate Jack Conway. All these covert and overt attacks (fake twitters, anonymous attack sites, constant and unrelenting personal attacks) will not work in the long run. The issues will decide this race. That's why I will not......
