In my closely neighboring town of Mayfield, Kentucky for years they had a tire plant that produced quality products and middle-class jobs. I knew many in my hometown of Paducah who worked there, and lost their jobs when the plant closed in 2007. Now, as the whole building comes crashing down, Mayfield gets a sobering reminder of what Corporate greed has cost them. The "Rock of Labor" will remind generations of how Mayfield used to have a tire plant that was closed due to the outsourcing of their jobs.
I know we are posting this a little bit late, but it's important to document this. We will be watching this church closely, in the future, and monitor them for any political activity. Northside Baptist Christian School in Mayfield, Kentucky, a ministry of Northside Baptist Church did not participate in President Barack Obama's speech to students. You won't believe what you're about to read. I had no knowledge of the West Kentucky Star before I went to Paducah, Kentucky last week to see the CNN Express. When I arrived home from Paducah I found an email in my in box linking me to this West Kentucky Star article. Note that the article is a screen shot, because the article has been changed. The article said "An informational meeting will be held at 6pm Thursday, August 27, at Heartland Worship Center in Paducah." I contacted several people and we started researching Karen Farthing and Dr. Shawn Jones. We found, in our opinion, they were too biased to conduct any kind of Health Care Information meeting especially in a church. Of course this is just our opinion and it's important for our readers to know how we came to that conclusion. Karen Farthing, a reporter for WestKentuckyStar.com, claims to have studied proposed Health Care legislation and has already stated her position on it, click here to view it, if it's been taken down, click here to view a screen shot.
