Would a physician remove a patient's heart, throw the heart in the garbage, place a IOU for his/her charges where the patients heart use to be and then complain that the patient's vital signs indicate the patient is dead? Of course not, but I suggest this is what the politicians, Democrats and Republicans have done to middle America. The heart of middle America has been removed and a big IOU has been put where the heart use to be. Middle America's heart wasn't put in the garbage, the heart was divvied up and given to Corporate interest, China, India, Mexico, Wall Street, Military contractors, off shore banking accounts, etc.
When my wife had a prescription of Levaquin filled and the cost for seven 500 mg. pills was $90.42, I just couldn't believe it. I went to Canada Drugs and found their cost for the same medication was $43.04. My wife needed the medication immediately and there wasn't time to wait for a Canada Drugs mail order and since she's in the Medicare Part D Doughnut hole, she had to pay the full price. Thanks Big PHARMA.
Every year my wife reaches the end of her Medicare Part D coverage (the infamous Doughnut hole) due to the over inflated prices of Medicare Part D prescription drugs. So she had to make a choice today. Pay her Medicare Part D Provider Prescription Solutions$315.13 for a 90 day supply of Crestor, or order Crestor Generic (there is no generic Crestor in the USA) from Canada Drugs for $145.71 for a 90 day supply of Crestor (See graphic). She went with Canada Drugs. It's a real shame when citizens of the good old USA have to rely on Canada to do the right thing when it comes to the price of prescription drugs, but my dear sweet wife of over fifty years understands it cost the insurance companies a lot of money to lobby our representatives, about $1.4 million a day, and she wouldn't want the Health Care CEO's to do without. As for me I think they're a bunch of greedy unpatriotic assholes!

If this is a preview of Health Care Reform, then most Americans are going to be very disappointed.
CBS News The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) has agreed to reduce its draw of revenues by $80 billion over 10 years by discounting the cost of medicines in Medicare’s Part D prescription drug program for some seniors by as much as 50 percent. The discount would go to seniors who fall into the "doughnut hole" -- a gap in Medicare Part D coverage. Currently, once seniors have received $2,700 worth of drugs, they are left to pay the full cost of their medication until that cost reaches $6,100. "This gap in coverage has been placing a crushing burden on many older Americans," Mr. Obama said. The agreement, he said, will make health care "more affordable for millions of seniors and restore a measure of fairness to Medicare Part D."
