Enough Already!!

by: RDemocrat

Mon Apr 29, 2013 at 18:17:29 PM EDT

With all the problems that have beset working Americans that the Republicans in Congress simply refuse to address there is one thing I am pretty certain Americans are getting tired of hearing about from the Republicans in the House. The attack on the American embassy in Benghazi that tragically claimed four American lives. Not that those lives weren't important, but now they are simply being used as pawns in a political game to deflect attention from the fact that Republicans simply do not care to allow an American recovery and to score cheap political points against President Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Rebuilding America Blocked by the Politics of "Them"

by: RDemocrat

Tue Oct 23, 2012 at 00:25:03 AM EDT

Tonight in the debate President Obama used the opportunity afforded him to not only critisize the "nation building" policies of the previous administration but to point out that we had a nation right here, America that needs some rebuilding of its own. Not only that, we have millions of Americans who need to be put to work doing that "nation building". While Republicans will tell you that President Obama has no plans to do that in his second term as always with the Republicans the truth is far from their reality. You see, President Obama had a plan to do that in his FIRST term.

Keystone Pipeline is Another Giveaway to the Crooks of a Bygone Era

by: RDemocrat

Mon Jan 16, 2012 at 16:35:50 PM EST

After years of Corporate welfare, unneccesary subsidies and fleecing us all at the pump the oil industry is doing what they do best once again. Attempting to propogandize Americans that they should be allowed to befoul more of America just like they did in the Gulf of Mexico for another sweet giveaway. They are now embarking on a propoganda campaign to convince Americans that they should be able to risk lives and risk even further damage to the environment for profit. The only problem is that those profits will go only to them, with minimal help to Americans who are out of work.

The Keystone XL Pipeline and the Nebraska Enigma

by: RDemocrat

Thu Nov 10, 2011 at 21:01:50 PM EST

In a move that has been attacked by Republicans President Obama has halted the Keystone XL pipeline from Western Canada to Texas. TransCanada had claimed this pipeline would create 20,000 jobs and up to 118,000 spinoff jobs. However, with objections from some Republican lawmakers in Nebraska the State Department decided to explore a new route because of safety concern. This led to a hypocritical outpouring of anger from the right an led me to wonder one thing. What is with this Nebraska Enigma?

The Irony of Regulation

by: RDemocrat

Mon Sep 26, 2011 at 06:53:45 AM EDT

It seems everywhere you turn today you hear some right-wing blowhard whining about the excessive regulations President Obama has placed on business. To hear these folks tell it Obama has passed a bunch of rules and regulation that simply will not allow "small businesses" to beging hiring again. However, the irony of regulation is that just after it was proven that businesses need MORE regulations and need to be monitored much closer President Obama is actually leading a parade of deregulation.

The Hard Truth of Another Betrayal

by: RDemocrat

Sat Sep 03, 2011 at 23:18:27 PM EDT

It is just a sign of the times. Once again Progressives and those of us who are serious about making our country a light of hope for all again are being stabbed in the back in the interests of those who have raped the middle-class, stagnated wages and crashed the economy to get bailed out as we all sacrifice. For those of us who really believed in the opposition to the Bush Administration in the last decade and really believed in the hope for real change in 2006 and 2008 it is another bitter pill to swallow and another insult that should bring about a stark realization. Right now we are the only people in this country who have had absolutely no representation in Washington in the last thirty years and worse yet the election of 2012 offers no hope whatsoever that we will be heard until at least 2016.

Hillbilly Report Calls on Rand Paul to Resign

by: RDemocrat

Tue Aug 30, 2011 at 22:31:01 PM EDT

After actually agreeing with the lone sane member of Kentucky's Congressional delegation John Yarmuth on something Rand Paul is back to being himself. Namely, Kentucky's Mad Doctor turned Senator. It appears as if all the bong hits with Aqua Buddha have indeed caught up with his short-term memory. You see, in asking someone to step down before they even begin a job Rand Paul shows that he has totally forgotten the roots of the trouble that have beset our country. We have a better idea for the Mad Buddhist turned doctor.

Trumka Continues Wake Up Call to Democrats

by: RDemocrat

Fri Aug 26, 2011 at 13:46:04 PM EDT

One thing Progressives have been trying to give Democrats, a wake up call. We are sick and tired of voting for the lesser of two evils simply because we have nowhere else to go. We work our hands to the bone at election time and contribute our hard-earned money. For what?? To be stabbed in the back and treated like the illegitimate stepchild when it is time to fight for policy. We are completely disgusted with the cowardice and complicity that insures that every single time we are the only folks who are not represented.

Senate Hypocrites Ask Kindred Spirits in the White House to Stick it to Working America

by: RDemocrat

Sat Mar 19, 2011 at 11:22:14 AM EDT

Yesterday, a "bi-partisan" group of Senators sent President Obama a letter asking him to lead the charge in dealing with America's debt and deficit. However, one thing seems lost on these hypocrites from both parties and they will consider only one thing to deal with our debt. Despite all their bluster these hypocrites in the Senate have already given the only folks who can afford to bring the national debt down a free pass by extending the Bush Tax Cuts for the very rich wasting almost $800 billion. Now they are asking the President to cut the deficit but only want the working class to pay for it.

The Ultimate Budget Hypocrisy

by: RDemocrat

Tue Feb 15, 2011 at 15:39:04 PM EST

It is pretty ironic after politicians in both parties were so willing to throw away nearly a trillion dollars in tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans, including themselves to hear them talking about cutting the budget. I mean, was it not the wealthiest of Americans who enjoyed all the economic boom of the last thirty years and then crashed the economy and got bailed out?? Now a battle is being joined between the House of Hypocrites and the White House over how much more the average working American will be asked to sacrifice to protect the wealth and profits of the very few. The only question is how much pain the lunatic right in the House and the center-right administration can inflict on working Americans.

An Indefinite Continuation of a Costly Failure??

by: RDemocrat

Tue Jan 11, 2011 at 11:45:21 AM EST

While there is much discussion, deservedly so about the Tucson shooting and the poisonous rhetoric in American politics hopefully one story coming across the wire will get some notice. It appears as if the Obama Administration is still determined to carry on the failed foreign policy of the Bush Administration no matter what. Today in Afghanistan Joe Biden appeared to promise a lasting American commitment to Afghanistan with no end in sight.

In Continued Compromise, Failure

by: RDemocrat

Tue Dec 07, 2010 at 12:17:22 PM EST

compromise-  A concession to something detrimental or pejorative: a compromise of morality.

http://www.thefreedictionary.c...

With the announcement that the Administration will indeed roll over to Republicans once again one thing is ringing true. In the political arena when these "compromises" are reached the only folks that are expected to give anything up are Progressives, and working America. When we had huge majorities in Congress and the White House still Progressives were expected to concede everything. Now it has become apparent that once again we are the only ones to sacrifice. One begins to wonder if this is not the way it was meant all along.

There is Plenty of Blame For Us Never Having a Chance

by: RDemocrat

Mon Oct 25, 2010 at 13:45:16 PM EDT

If Democrats do indeed experience huge losses in Congressional elections one thing will be constant, and aggrevating. The pundits and right-wing blowhards will be all over every airwave, proclaiming how Progressive vision was tried and failed miserably. The only thing that is wrong with this is that actually Progressive vision was never tried at a time when it was desperately needed. The most depressing part of it all is that America seems poised to endorse the same old policies that caused all the mess to begin with and it is frightening to consider where it will lead.

News Flash For America: Your Taxes Went Down

by: RDemocrat

Tue Oct 19, 2010 at 21:22:13 PM EDT

As if blaming Democrats for a Republican crashed economy and the measures needed to remedy it was not bad enough it appears as if America is poised to not notice one thing done by President Obama and the Democrats. Cutting their taxes. You see, that horrible Stimulus Bill everyone loves to hate had something unexpected in it. Tax cuts for all Americans. It now seems that since the Obama Administration did not send the money out in the form of rebate checks America may indeed not notice that their taxes were cut.

Administration Lifts Deep Water Drilling Moratorium

by: RDemocrat

Tue Oct 12, 2010 at 18:29:04 PM EDT

We all remember the disaster that was the Gulf Oil Spill and counting the thousands of gallons of crude oil spewing into the Gulf. Despite the rhetoric of right-wing blowhards this spill was an economic, ecological, and governmental disaster for our country. The previous Administration allowing the Oil companies to write their own regulations proved to be a disaster as with every idea Republicans had for governance. Now, as the Obama Administration lifts their moratorium one can only hope that they are not making the same mistake.

Lying Criminals Continue Propoganda on Iraq War

by: RDemocrat

Thu Sep 02, 2010 at 21:03:10 PM EDT

Boy, leave it to the media in this country. They are so wrapped up in a good story they care little about the very thing they are supposed to do. Tell the American people the truth. With the new right-wing media and the old supposedly "liberal" media that is close to right-wing, America gets a raw deal when it comes to getting the truth reported to them. Take the response to Obama's Iraq speech as an example. Who do the media look to to respond?? The liars who got us into a huge, costly, idiotic mistake to begin with.

Hey General Petraeus: Lets Remember to Come Home

by: RDemocrat

Mon Aug 16, 2010 at 13:33:58 PM EDT

As the long fruitless wars that were a failed vision from a failed leader drag on, the General appointed by that failed leader is now scoffing at the timeline that would bring troops home from Afghanistan. Despite the loss of life, the draining of our treasury and the long years without progress and without the capture of Osama bin Laden the sad part is that President Obama seems determined to follow the failures of George W. Bush into oblivion.

This Was A REPUBLICAN Crash!!

by: RDemocrat

Thu Aug 12, 2010 at 21:36:03 PM EDT

One of the worst things happening all over the right-wing media right now is a continual blaming of President Obama for things that President Bush did while being enabled by a Republican Congress for six years. Yes, all over the country Republicans are going to extremes to paint Obama as the cause for a clearly Republican crash and several of the bailouts that followed. They even go as far as trying to say Obama has been in office for three years. However, as always with Republicans the facts just never bear out the crap they try to feed the American people.
