Lately there has been a small but very vocal contingent of far-right lunatics trying to disrupt Healthcare Reform. Born of the same folks that brought you the "birther" movement and driven by known liar, cheat, swindler, and all around criminal Rick Scott and like minded greed-meisters all around the country they have set out to fire up the weak-minded. Using lies and propoganda they have sparked rage in every raving, far-right lunatic from sea to shining sea who have in turned showed up nationwide to demonstrate their intelligence level.
From Senator Bernie Sanders Web Site Sen. Bernie Sanders, a member of the Senate health committee, said that real health care reform must address the billions of dollars in fraud and abuse that comes from the major corporations in the health care industry. "What we have seen for many years is the systemic fraud perpetrated by private insurance companies, private drug companies, and private for-profit hospitals ripping off the American people and the taxpayers of this country to the tune of many billions of dollars," Sanders (I-Vt.) said at a committee markup session. Sanders cited example after example indicating that virtually all of the major hospital chains, private insurance companies, and pharmaceutical companies have been involved in massive health care fraud over the past decade.
Here at Hillbilly Report we have been following Rick Scott, and his fight to deny millions of Americans the healthcare they desperately need with the propoganda peddling organization called "Conservatives for Patient's Rights". Fortunately, Mr. Scott has caught the eye of more than just a couple of Hillbilly bloggers from Kentucky. Think Progress is refuting Mr. Scott too.
In this diary I detailed the efforts of the SEIU to get NBC to halt the airing of the propoganda piece on healthcare by the total fraud and leader of "Conservatives for Patient's Rights" leader Rick Scott. Well, NBC aired the program anyway, but got quite a surprise before doing so.
Congressman John Yarmuth co-sponsor of HR 676, single payer healthcare, introduced Congressman John Conyers , click here to view the video, and Congressman Conyers let it all hang out and with his soft unassuming voice and mannerisms exposing the maneuvering by the Whitehouse, Nancy Pelosi and members of Congress to kill HR 676, single payer healthcare. Rick Scott brings a Legacy of Fraud to the healtcare debate. Now as leader of "Conservatives for Patients Rights" he has embarked upon a crusade of derailing healtcare for the fifty million people who desperately need it. His group has already been running ads trying to brainwash the American electorate but evidently that was not enough.
Over here in Paducah, Kentucky we have some ultra-Conservative media. The Paxton Media Group owns several Western Kentucky newspapers including the Paducah Sun and they have their own little radio station that they allow propoganda masters such as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingram to spew forth their venomous talking points. Lately, I have heard radio commercials from a group called "Conservatives for Patients Rights" running ads against the 50 million people who have no health insurance.
