"Never before have so few with so much promised to take away so much from so many and then laugh their asses off as the so many with so little vote for the so few with so much." A James Pence Quote
"American Politics, a sport for the rich and enslavement for the rest of us." A James Pence Quote
With Michigan adopting Right to Work laws continuing the War on American workers the right wing continues to spread myths and downright lies about the facts of what these laws do and what they accomplish. They have convinced many Americans Right to Work laws will create jobs. They always fail to mention the damage these laws do to workers, our economy and America as a whole. Of course with this bunch it always boils down to the same old reasons.
As the fight continues to "Occupy Wall Street" and protest the criminals that have crashed the economy causing so much misery for so many another fight has unfolded. The fight to make these folks pay their fair share into the system they have taken advantage of for their wealth. After enjoying thirty years or so of getting by without sacrifice it is now time for them to do something that working American has done for a long time now. Feel the pain for the actions of the very few.
President Obama has been guilty of many things and has done many things differently than needed. However, despite his mistakes he has taken a lot of blame from a lot of liars for things he did not do. Mostly, running up the debt, deficits and crashing the economy. Now, yet another right-wing liar is lying about the bad Obama had nothing to do with.
Here is Sean Hannity spewing the idiocy that if he and his cohorts do not get to buy new yachts and planes and live the high life you are the ones that are really suffering:
Disclaimer: Here at Hillbilly Report we do not condone the use of the Hillbilly Heroin. It makes you into Rush Limbaugh.
After years of spewing poison upon their brainwashed masses a funny thing is happening. Yes, after over a decade of whoring for the greediest and least patriotic among us it appears as if all the lies and propoganda may be catching up to them finally. You see for the Oxymoron and his loving sidekick Sean Hannity it appears as if ratings are going down faster than a bottle of Oxycontin with a glass of water.
With the news that America had finally brought terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden to justice one thing could be easily predicted. Despite the fact that George W. Bush failed for so long in doing just that you knew that every right-wing blowhard in America would be somehow calling this a vindication of his failed policies and misled agenda. Well, welcome to right-wing fantasy land. Today the right-wing lunatics at the Heritage Foundation are crediting George W. Bush and the Patriot Act for the killing of Osama bin Laden.
Tax Day has come once again. Undoubtedly just like every year there will be a bunch of Republicans and Corporate Democrats bemoaning the fact that their rich enablers must pay their taxes. You see, these folks wrap themselves in patriotism but when it comes time to sacrifice for the good of our country they will expect all of us to do so while they continue to horde the money to the top, destroying the American dream for millions. Worse yet, they have a host of propoganda ministers to spread myths and downright lies about the act of paying taxes in America.
It is quite ironic. When you listen to Conservatives one theme that keeps coming up is how the poor wealthy and Corporate America are the never-ending victims of class warfare. To hear them tell it they are under constant attack from all sides. While I must admit there is nonstop class warfare in this country these Conservatives and their propogandists have it all wrong. The real class warfare has been waged against the poor, the elderly, and children by the elites for three decades now.
Not long ago the war on the American worker which has been waged for the better part of the last thirty years by the greediest and least patriotic among us reached a disgusting new phase. In a sickening attempt to distract the masses from the real problem the elites and their propoganda ministers embarked upon a campaign to set one worker against another by making them jealous of the wages and benefits attained by one group compared to the wages and benefits of another. Yes, the very powers that had raped the American worker and crashed the American economy had to distract everyone from the fact that they had bought and paid for our government which had in turn essentially provided them with no-risk investments to fatten their pockets with.
Watching the Wisconsin public workers finally fighting back against Corporate America and the politicians that crawled into bed with them, waging war against the American worker for three decades gives me both hope and despair. This unholy alliance between government and corporation has eroded workers rights, wages and benefits for far too long now. It warms my heart and gives me faith in my country that finally some workers are standing up and fighting back, and I hope this is part of a larger movement that will sweep the nation as more workers get tired of footing the blame and more importantly the bill. However, with that being said I despair that already these working men and women who are finally standing up for all of us face an uphill battle as they are besieged from all sides.
Right now as middle-class workers fight to keep their rights in Wisconsin a funny thing is happening. The same same right-wing media that has attacked the stealing of rights by government are attacking the very workers who are fighting against the government for stealing their rights. These propogandists are very good at doing one thing. Accusing others of doing the very things they are doing themselves.
Mitch McConnell and the Corporate Republican Party he leads do not want to be called on their tactics. You see, calls for a "new era of civility" do not change facts. Hissy-fits by right-wing blowhards on radio and T.V. does not change the truth of what has happened in the last few decades. Yes and despite all the self-righteous bluster the tactics they use in propogandizing America has been used before. Unfortunately it was successful for a while then too.
The tragedy in Tuscon has opened a few eyes. Here at Hillbilly Report while we take pride in calling it as we see it and pulling no punches we certainly do not want anyone who reads us to resort to violence. We definately do not want even our staunchest enemies in creating a country based on American values to die either. So while we may get a little testy from time to time we hope everyone knows that we are merely calling them how we see them and would never want anyone to get hurt.
One thing that is really quite creepy is the level of "Reagan Worship" among right-wingers. Really when you think it does border on the occult. Cult members just like Reagan worshipers always seem to find a way to twist the facts around to make the object of their worship seem "divine". Yes, the more one looks at the level of bowing down at the altar of the Gipper one realizes that a lot of folks have a serious problem with reality.
We have made no bones about it here. A lot of President Obama's decisions and what he has decided to fight for have been quite perplexing to us. From dropping single-payer, then the public option, to the escalation of war in Afghanistan we have had many things to be disappointed at the President many had hoped would usher in a new age of successful Progressivism. However, his latest head-scratcher has quickly shown itself to be a not so good idea, despite months and even years of the folks who are always wrong pitching hard for it.
Across the country a strange phenomena is occurring. Republicans are taking to the airwaves en masse complaining of taxes being raised. This is sort of ironic when millions of Americans are seeing their taxes cut. Ah, but the Republican hangup centers around the Bush tax cuts and the fact that the ones on the very wealthy will be allowed to expire.
Listening to the right-wing foghorns out there one would get certain perceptions. When talking about taxes they must convince their righteous flock that those poor rich folks who crash the economy and pay low wages are hurting. They are being soaked by that most ultimate of villains, the government. You see, if they make folks believe that these are the only people that pay any taxes then they may very well convince the American people that it is quite unfair and get more tax breaks for the rich at the expense of the rest of us.
Man, the Republican Party. If you want to get a good insight as to how hypocritical these folks are all you must do is look at the folks they worship. Dick Cheney can lie about wars that kill thousands and cost a trillion dollars of American treasure, as well as treasonably out a CIA agent but he is a Republican hero. Carrie Prejean can pose nude in pictures and masturbate in front of a camera for a man she is not married to but it is OK because she "loved" him and she hates gay people. Oh, but one of the best examples of Republican idiocy and hypocrisy is none other than newfound cultlike celebrity Sarah Palin.
