I had been watching and following Ali Velshi and the CNN Express when it started in Georgia and when I heard they were coming to Paducah I knew I had to be there. I followed them on CNN and twitter and had a good idea when they might arrive in Paducah, but I didn't know where exactly where they were going to be. I gambled and went downtown. My gamble paid off. Minutes after I arrived The CNN Express pulled in, Ali Velshi and all.
I immediately began to shoot video and much to my surprise Ali Velshi asked me for an interview. We did the interview and I resumed shooting video and taking photos. As people began to gather around The CNN Express Mike Watt a free lance and political photographer suggested that CNN Express have a Town Hall meeting there. He responded by asking me if I was with CNN? I told him no. I asked him again what he meant when he said these people and he began to say a few things about Heather Ryan. We then got into what I consider a heated discussion he reached over and touched my arm and I pretty much told him where to go! The young man then went over to Mike Watt and began talking to Mike and then managed to worm his way in to the impromptu Town Hall Meeting and make, what I consider, a total ass of himself on national TV with the infamous Hummer comment. Of course that's just my opinion.
