RNC Insults It's Donors and America

by: RDemocrat

Thu Mar 04, 2010 at 11:36:10 AM EST

What do you do when you are the party of no?? The Party of no new ideas, no vision, and no compassion?? Since you know you have absolutely nothing to offer in the way of policy for the future besides the failures of the past, you get desperate. Instead of even trying to come up with a workable vision of the future, you insult your own donors and the American people by acting like spoiled rotten children who are not getting their way.

If Hypocrisy Were Looks, McConnell Would be Ms. China

by: RDemocrat

Wed Feb 17, 2010 at 19:23:56 PM EST

Boy, the Senator for Communist China Mitch McConnell has some nerve. After spearheading the Republican "do-nothing good" Congress that rubber-stamped every failed policy of the worst President in American history he is seeking to lecture others on debt, taxes, healthcare and the economy. I mean these are the folks that brought us a trillion wasted dollars on failed wars and whose only solution to anything was to put it on the American credit card or borrow it from China. Now, McConnell seeks to bemoan the commission started by President Obama to reduce the Federal Deficit.

Bloggers Behaving Badly: "Open" Left is as bad as Daily Kos

by: Archangel M

Thu Jan 14, 2010 at 16:38:12 PM EST

I see that another Bowers-instigated flame battle is going on over at Closed Left.  I lurk the site from time to time to see just how much progressive issues are being censored in favor of the Chris Matthews-type drivel Bowers favors, and I saw this posted on the front page:

It turns out that if I delete content from a website that I--quite literally--own, then I am engaging in censorship.  I don't remember the part of the first amendment that declares everyone is allowed to use everyone else's printing press.

The latest mess appears to have begun when someone posted a quick hit to call Obama an ass clown.  Okay, nothing controversial about that since Obama is, in fact, an ass clown.  But the site administrator didn't like it, so the QH was deleted.  After the fact, the justification was fabricated that the term "ass clown" is somehow homophobic, even though there is no evidence to suggest that it has ever been used in such a derogatory manner.  The comments are divided along the usual lines, with Bowers and his sniveling, lying little sycophants defending the action and others crying censorship.

This isn't surprising at all, seeing as how Bowers routinely violates his own site's rules only to turn around and chastise others for committing far lesser offenses.  For example, a while back the owner of Closed Left posted a snarkfest taking others to task for using the Quick Hits feature to call other people out.  Later, Bowers proceeded to use the quick hits section to call out another poster, whom he banned for voicing criticism against him.

When I posted about this glaring act of hypocrisy in both a diary and a quick hit, I was banned from posting.  The rules that apply to everyone else at Closed Left do not apply to the site owner, who is free to act like a child while treating grown adults like children.  The result?  More of the same bullshit that goes on at the Mediocre Orange Hype: scolding lefties to sit down, shut up, and drink the Democratic party Kool-Aid while pretending to be outsiders crashing the gates.  The left deserves better from its self-appointed "leaders."

More on Jim DeMint and Republican Super-Hypocrisy

by: RDemocrat

Wed Dec 30, 2009 at 20:44:37 PM EST

The hypocrisy of the Republicans on the recent failed terrorist attack in Detroit is mind-boggling, even by their own super-high hypocrisy standards. When the Bush Administration allowed the deadliest attack ever on American soil due to rank incompetence, they were mum. Then when, just a few days later a terrorist was allowed on board a plane and was thwarted by passengers Republicans were too full of god-king worship to utter a single protest. However, when an almost identical attack to the "shoe-bomber" occurs without the incompetence and death of an event like 9-11 preceding it, they are all up in arms about "keeping our country safe".

More Hypocrisy from Exxon Ed Whitfield

by: RDemocrat

Tue Dec 01, 2009 at 20:07:54 PM EST

You know, a while ago I wrote this diary about my Congressman, Exxon Ed Whitfield wanting it both ways. While he voted against the stimulus and Kentucky getting any funds, he wanted to whine about how many funds we were getting.

by: RDemocrat

Tue Nov 24, 2009 at 18:40:55 PM EST

by: RDemocrat

Wed Sep 30, 2009 at 11:40:45 AM EDT

A Congressman from Florida has made some controversial comments that Republicans have compared to "liar crier" Joe Wilson. They are all up in arms and are calling for Rep. Alan Grayson to apolegize, as well as using this to turn Nancy Pelosi's words against her.

Exxon Ed Whitfield Should Lecture Himself

by: RDemocrat

Mon Sep 28, 2009 at 23:57:54 PM EDT

Exxon Ed Whitfield has some nerve. After being a constant rubber-stamp for some of the worst policies ever shoved down the throats of the American people by the worst President in our history, he now seeks to lecture everyone on representing their constituents. Just think about it. Voted in by the failed "Contract with America" that devolved into a "culture of corruption", Ed Whitfield was instrumental in helping to turn a surplus into a huge deficit and massive debt. He rubber-stamped a war without oversight that sent our troops into the wrong country without the proper equipment and training. He voted for banking de-regulation that crashed our economy. He even voted against healthcare for America's children.

Hey Sarah: Not Me!!

by: RDemocrat

Wed Sep 23, 2009 at 14:09:20 PM EDT

It appears Sarah Palin is trying to shore up her foreign policy credentials for a possible run in 2012. After dodging ethics complaints by resigning and becoming a facebook fixture, Caribou Barbie appeared in Hong Kong to speak to investors about governance and economics among many things. I guess she is ready to lay a foundation to outsource the rest of our middle-class jobs to China in case something horrible happens, like her being elected President.

Missing From the Values Voters Summit

by: RDemocrat

Sun Sep 20, 2009 at 11:37:30 AM EDT

As many know the Value Voters Summit has run all weekend and ends today. While it is interesting to note what these voters were speaking out against, abortion, healthcare for all, homosexuality and President Obama, it is curious to note what these "Conservative Christians" left out. You see, in a way we are all "values voters" we just have different values we fight for.

Some Questions for the D.C. "Tea Party" Folks

by: RDemocrat

Sat Sep 12, 2009 at 11:42:15 AM EDT

Ah the "tea party" movement. A bunch of folks assembled to protest the economy they crashed. Banded together to show fear and anger at death panels, death books, illegal immigrants, poor folks without health insurance, Marxists, Facists, Nazis, Communists, and anything else they can dream is chasing them especially an ethnic President. They have much rage to display and many quetions to ask and aren't afraid of shouting them over fellow citizens heads, and in their ears. Of course, when you have a gloc 9 hidden in your waistband courage is easy to come by.

Some Religous Leaders Prey Upon Women

by: RDemocrat

Thu Sep 10, 2009 at 11:41:11 AM EDT

We have been detailing to some extent the hypocrisy of religous leaders who are opposing Universal Healthcare. Christian Conservatives have climbed into bed with the Republican Party despite their many anti-Christian policies. This can be particularly dangerous when religous people view the clergy as representing God. Now, a new report shows that many of them have preyed upon women in their congregations.

Christian Hate Groups Signing Their Own Death Certificate

by: RDemocrat

Tue Sep 08, 2009 at 20:44:09 PM EDT

Jesus is stated to have visited the Temple in Jerusalem, Herod's Temple, at which the courtyard is described as being filled with livestock and the tables of the money changers, who changed the standard Greek and Roman money for Jewish and Tyrian money, which were the only coinage that could be used in Temple ceremonies. According to the Gospels, Jesus took offense to this (extorting profit from the people to hear the word of God), and so, creating a whip from some cords, drives out the money changers, and turns over their tables, and those of the people selling doves Matthew[21:13] And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.21:14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.21:15 And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were sore displeased, Jesus said, "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give." (Matthew 10:8).

Right-Wing Radio Hate

by: RDemocrat

Wed Aug 26, 2009 at 22:21:13 PM EDT

We have been detailing how the Right-Wing lunatic radio station in Paducah is propogandizing Western Kentucky voters by the means of a church. Our main point is that such hate-filled folks with hate-filled rhetoric have no business in a church. Well, lets listen to some of the hate played today by WKYX-WKYQ:

Republican Hypocrisy on the Deficit and Healthcare

by: RDemocrat

Wed Aug 26, 2009 at 21:12:46 PM EDT

Boy, to hear many Republicans tell it they have been the watchdogs of fiscal responsibility. They have recently begun squawking about deficits and spending. They try to say our country is spending too much and we cannot afford Universal Healthcare. Of course, they conviently leave out the facts about why our deficit is where it is right now.

Klingenschmitt Ads Sink the Abyss Even Lower

by: RDemocrat

Tue Aug 25, 2009 at 08:00:00 AM EDT

I wrote this diary after hearing a hate-filled misleading ad on WKYX-WKYQ. Already using a church to propogandize the masses in Western Kentucky, they had also decided to play blantantly false ads about the healthcare bill from this site. That is when I realized the people at this station would sink as low into the abyss as possible to preserve profits over people.
