You know, across the country a funny thing is happening. In the typically hypocritical world of the modern Republican just about anything is fair game and the past is so easily forgotten. This is yet again true with the criticism leveled at President Obama about his vacation time. Oh, really?? Do Republicans really want to go there??
It has been common knowledge for quite some time that Fox News is nothing but right-wing propaganda spewed like gospel and is far from "fair and balanced". Its whole existence is designed to shill for the interests of the greediest and least patriotic among us just like they were founded to do. Now, if any of the mind-numb among us need another clue that they are being had, the "News" Corporation is clearly showing them.
One of the worst things happening all over the right-wing media right now is a continual blaming of President Obama for things that President Bush did while being enabled by a Republican Congress for six years. Yes, all over the country Republicans are going to extremes to paint Obama as the cause for a clearly Republican crash and several of the bailouts that followed. They even go as far as trying to say Obama has been in office for three years. However, as always with Republicans the facts just never bear out the crap they try to feed the American people.
Mitch McConnell is among his "base" at the Chamber of Commerce confidently predicting victory for Rand Paul and his Corporate Republicans. Of course, with that hope comes the hope that America will forget the huge mess caused by Republicans when they controlled Congress and the Presidency. Yes, Democrats are just so evil trying to save America from the evils of Corporate control of our government. Maybe this means Republicans are employing a new strategy. Yes, when all else fails they are joining with Rand Paul in praying to "Aqua Buddha" for victory.
Man, Rand Paul sure has a lot of people fooled. The self-proclaimed "Christian Conservatives" of the tea-party movement are first and foremost on that list. Now, while most of these folks are Christian as long as they do not have to follow the preachings of Christ, such as loving your neighbor and not being greedy it appears as if their "leader" Rand Paul fits right in with this self-righteous band of hypocrites. You see, far from Christian values his college days were filled with sacrilegious activities and yes, plenty of good old bong hits not to mention a freaky episode of ritualistic kidnapping.
One thing that is really quite creepy is the level of "Reagan Worship" among right-wingers. Really when you think it does border on the occult. Cult members just like Reagan worshipers always seem to find a way to twist the facts around to make the object of their worship seem "divine". Yes, the more one looks at the level of bowing down at the altar of the Gipper one realizes that a lot of folks have a serious problem with reality.
We all saw the video of Anthony Weiner blasting the Republicans on the House floor for playing politics with 9-11 first responder healthcare. While that issue was personal to him, the fact of the matter is that every since they lost power for crashing the economy and dividing and nearly destroying this country Republicans have been using political games to try and keep anyone from cleaning up the huge mess Republican control of our government wrought upon this country. Now Weiner, far from backing down is pointing out how nothing not even the well-being of our country is above politics to Republicans.
Everyone hears how Republicans are always bemoaning the fates of "small businesses". Those of us who have long ago seen through their facade know that is just a talking point, and their true goal is to protect the profits of Corporations who outsource middle-class jobs, not small businesses who create them. The fact of the matter is if your bank account is less than seven figures Republicans could care less about you no matter what you do. Now, the proof positive is out to small businesses. When it comes to regaining power to protect Corporate America Republicans do not give a damn about you.
As if the real Mitch McConnell coddling the Communist Chinese while holding his throat to the American worker was not scary enough, AFSCME decided to surprise some folks in Louisville, Kentucky. Wanting to remind Kentuckians about the obstructionist policies of Mitch McConnell, policies that would cost them jobs and funding the union projected a silent video of McConnell for passers by to consider. Yes, not merely content with just delaying the compensation for the 2.5 million workers the policies of George W. Bush rubber-stamped by him created, now McConnell seeks to block aid to state governments that could save or create close to a million jobs for state employees such as policemen, firemen and teachers.
With the looming fight for control of Congress, Republicans despite an ailing economy and an ailing country have just decided to say no to everything Democrats have proposed to do to try and help America recover from the mess Republican control of our whole country during the George W. Bush years and before caused. From denying unemployment benefits to those who lost their jobs due to the Republican crashing of the economy, to allowing Corporate money to continue dominating elections, to opposing any attempt to reign in Wall St., who used Republican deregulation to crash the economy the Republicans consistently say no to anything that could help the country by claiming it would add to the national debt.
With all the fights so far in the last many months in Congress a new, very important fight in the direction of our country is soon to be joined. With the Bush Tax Cuts set to expire a fight will ensue on renewing them, renewing a few of them, or renewing them all. This is one fight we should use common sense on. Yes, the economy is hurting and the deficit is booming. However, after decades of a free ride, and being the only "patriots" to ever receive a tax cut in a time of "war" it is essential that the wealthy once again pay their fair share and that the middle and lower classes reap the benefits for once.
What do you do when you are the third ranking member in the House and your party's policies when enacted almost completely crashed our country into a ditch?? What do you do when the opposition party is desperately trying to clean up the mess you created?? What do you do when you cannot let the working American know what you really feel about them, except when Rand Paul accidentally lets it slip out?? What do you do when you care nothing about average Americans but only seek to enrich the greediest and least patriotic among us?? Of course, you lie through your teeth about what you really believe and what the other party really wants.
We all hear the bluster from the modern Republican Party of No who say no to anything good for this country. Always used is the argument that it will "hurt small businesses". However the modern Republican Party cares nothing about what happens to small businesses, all they care about are the big Corporations and the very rich. More proof of this is demonstrated yet again in their opposition to a Democratic plan to aid real small businesses.
Republicans like Mitch McConnell want to spew all kinds of reasons why they will oppose Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court. While McConnell states that Ms. Kagan cannot "take off her public advocacy" hat the real root of the problems McConnell has with her run much deeper. You see, for decades now Republicans have done all they could do to roll back the programs of the New Deal that have benefited average, everyday Americans because he seeks to throw that money away to the Communist Chinese and Corporate America instead of using it to help Main St. America. The Kagan nomination would be a huge step backwards towards that goal.
In his anti-government crusade Rand Paul seeks to leave many folks behind. From the unemployed, to minorities that business owners do not like and now to Kentucky's farmers Rand Paul's heartless campaign to "starve the beast" leaves millions of people behind. Even in a farming state, Rand Paul wishes to end farm subsidies because quite frankly, he does not want Corporate America or the very wealthy to pay taxes. Over here in Western Kentucky that position would threaten many livelihoods.
Remember when Rand Paul was running in the primary?? He painted himself as an "outsider" who did not believe in "big government" and taxpayer bailouts. Since that time he has proven himself to be quite a hypocrite and a far cry from the fiscally responsible candidate he convinced his supporters he was. From crawling into bed with Mitch McConnell to raise funds, to wanting businesses to discriminate the real Rand Paul started to stand up. Now after he and McConnell enjoyed their after love-making cigarette, Rand Paul is crawling into bed with another unsavory character.
We all remember all the protest Republican Senators have raised over unemployment benefits this year. Of course, the greediest and least patriotic among us want working America to shoulder the burden of their failed policies and want everyone but the ones who actually crashed the economy to pay for it. Now they want the unemployed who lost their jobs due to no fault of their own and their families to starve. That is, if they must give up the tax cuts for their wealthy base.
A funny thing is happening all across America. In tea-bag circles and in Washington, Republicans are raising hell about our national debt. Of course, this is an issue we should all worry about. Our debt HAS risen at an alarming rate. However, I think it is important to point out to America that while the Republicans now seem very worried about our debt, they are new to this game. You see, in typical Republican hypocrisy they have run our debt through the ceiling and now seek to lecture all of us on it. They are like a little kid that pours all the milk down the sink drain before they go to bed and then throws a temper-tantrum in the morning because they cannot have cereal for breakfast.
Man, Glenn Beck is really confused. When he is not making Death Metal records, he is as wrong as the day is long. In a shameless attempt to propogandize and fire up the least patriotic and most weak minded among us he will resort to anything. In trying to paint Obama as incompetent in his handling of the Gulf Oil Spill, even lies are not out of the norm for Beck. His latest, the Navy has not been involved in the Gulf Oil Spill is easily disproven.
A lot of the Republican politicians and talking heads say it is time that we quit "blaming Bush" for the problems besetting this country. They constantly maintain how Democrats have driven the deficit to new highs. However, as always with these hypocritical Republicans the truth is far from their own twisted sense of reality. You see, far away from tea-bag wonderland here in the real world many of the problems we face were caused by the very people that rail so hard against them.
