Today, another franchise owner of a large Corporate restaurant is showing his disdain for his employees. Following in the footsteps of "Papa John", Denny's, and Darden Restaurants a Wendy's franchise owner in Omaha, Nebraska has decided to cut his workers hours and push them further into poverty while passing their healthcare costs onto the rest of America.

It seems as if as much as any President ever, Barack Obama has had plenty of myths swirling around him and his rise to prominence. While right-wing loonies are always going to hate anyone that does not agree with their stone-age vision of the world Barack Obama seems to have his fair share of folks that just simply hate him no matter what. Since this is America, these folks are entitled to their own opinion. However, as  I have stated before they are not entitled to their own truth, or myths about the President and what he has and hasn't done in the White House.

We all remember Rick Scott. Healthcare fearmonger and liar who used his millions to cover for the health insurers and try and defeat healthcare for millions of Americans with lies, idiocy, and propoganda solely designed to enrich folks like him. Well, now that the state of Florida has clearly soaked in too much sun and it has cooked their brains Rick Scott is actually governor of that state. Now, he is using his power to enrich the drug companies at the behest of other states who are fighting prescription pill problems and deaths. Officials in Kentucky, a state hit hard by prescription drug use now are firing back at Scott.

After crashing our economy and being bailed out big business has refused to hire citing a sluggish economy. However, as it turns out the economy may not be that sluggish. Well, not that sluggish for them anyway.

Besides the millions of gallons of crude leaking into the Gulf of Mexico the continued deregulation of industry in general and in particular the oil and gas industry has caused much death and misery. The continued quest of profits over people has determined that to pinch pennies some workers are just plain expendable to fatcat Corporate CEOs. Along with lower wages, shrinking benefits and an uncaring attitude by management this has been a big part of the war on the American worker waged relentlessly by Corporate America with their enablers in both political parties. However, thankfully the sorry record these folks have compiled as they basically regulate themselves has not amused everyone in Washington. Today Patty Murray (D-WA) blasted the industry on the sorry record they have compiled.

Everyone knows about the banking industry imploding upon it's own greed and crashing the economy. Everyone also knows about them recieving a huge bailout on the taxpayer dime and deficit. Despite all of this, it has been business as usual for the big bankers on Wall St. Not one banking regulation has been reinstated and indeed the profits have rolled in proving that in the American Capatalist system, one group of folks constantly get to cheat everyone else in the market as they are allowed to never take risk in their investments. Now these folks seek to bankrupt cities and states across the country.
