Season Of Progress??

by: RDemocrat

Wed Dec 22, 2010 at 22:35:02 PM EST

After a couple of long tough years President Obama finally got a little bit of a chance to bask in some kind of glow for once. While we here at Hillbilly Report have been pretty tough on him of late, we do not do so because we want him to fail. Actually, we want him to fight for what is right and win. And while we admit readily that the President does have some victories to point to and should have some pride after the withering critisizm and unfair hatred he has suffered the simple fact of the matter is that at this point like many of our fellow Progressives who only want what is best for our country and EVERYONE within we feel nothing but disappointment with the state of our country. That is why I feel that it is ironic for the President to declare the recent "victories" a "Season of Progress".

Rush Limbaugh's Elitist Ideology Shared by Many, Still Wrong

by: RDemocrat

Tue Dec 14, 2010 at 16:39:44 PM EST

Disclaimer: Here at Hillbilly Report we do not condone the use of the Hillbilly Heroin. It makes you into Rush Limbaugh.

The Oxymoron is at in again. In another narcotic-induced rant he is once again attacking the unemployed. You know the folks who lost their jobs because Republicans crashed the economy?? Yes, and now in this economy where there are 5 unemployed for every job opening the Republican solution pushed by Limbaugh?? Keep the tax cuts for the very rich while leaving millions of unemployed in the cold at Christmastime. It appears as if the leader of the Republican Party's greed, idiocy, and heartlessness will never face reality. Of course reality means sacrifice from him which is unacceptable because he would have to sacrifice even when he can afford Oxycontin for every drug-addict in the world.

Obama and Democrats Cower Once More

by: RDemocrat

Mon Dec 06, 2010 at 14:48:23 PM EST

This is getting ridiculous. After all the soaring rhetoric of the 2008 elections one thing is ringing true. Absent "Hope" and "Change" the one thing we are getting from this White House and the Democratic Party as a whole is simple. Cowardice. In fight after fight, our leadership and President seem always willing to push the chicken switch no matter what and cower to the greed of the Republican Party at every turn. Now it is happening once again as President Obama and the disgraceful cowards he "leads" once again tuck their tail between their legs and run like whipped puppies from a fight.

Boehner and McConnell Must Be Joking

by: RDemocrat

Tue Nov 30, 2010 at 13:27:48 PM EST

The scorn that the elitist Republican leadership holds the average American in is amazing. After two years of being allowed to obstruct everything, and two years of sacrificing American recovery to win an election they got want they wanted. Control of the House. However, fresh off this victory they are determined to insult the American people. I believe that it is not that they are so stupid they do not know what the American people have said, they simply do not care.

Extension of Unemployment Benefits Essential for Millions

by: RDemocrat

Sun Nov 28, 2010 at 11:20:43 AM EST

During this holiday season when many families are hurting bad the simple fact of the matter is this. Many are not. For many it has been business as usual as they crashed the economy, got bailed out and pocketed the money. The most outrageous part of all this is that after crashing the economy and getting the money back on their apparent no-risk investments now the very folks who bailed them out after paying the price are being left out in the Christmas cold yet again.

Tax Cut Debate Shows Sorry State of the Republican Party

by: RDemocrat

Wed Jul 14, 2010 at 19:50:36 PM EDT

We all remember all the protest Republican Senators have raised over unemployment benefits this year. Of course, the greediest and least patriotic among us want working America to shoulder the burden of their failed policies and want everyone but the ones who actually crashed the economy to pay for it. Now they want the unemployed who lost their jobs due to no fault of their own and their families to starve. That is, if they must give up the tax cuts for their wealthy base.

Protesters Hit McConnell on Unemployment Benefits

by: RDemocrat

Wed Jul 07, 2010 at 14:52:28 PM EDT

After the economy crashed because of failed Republican policies of deregulation a funny thing happened. All the bankers who lost money were bailed out and Mitch McConnell made sure of it. Now, as those very bankers refuse to free up lending again and millions of Americans whose jobs were eliminated by the uncaring Corporate policies McConnell shepherded through as a "leader" of the Republican Party during the Bush Administration Mitch McConnell has a simple message for those whose jobs he outsourced or allowed to be eliminated, "Screw You".

Rand Paul: "Work at McDonald's"

by: RDemocrat

Fri Jun 18, 2010 at 19:53:28 PM EDT

Rand Paul does not seem to know what letter is flashed in front of his name on the T.V. shows. It is an (R). As a Republican he indeed has a very short memory as to what has caused all the problems we are now facing. Deregulation. Corporate Welfare. Coddling Corporations by appointing Corporate shills to oversee their own industries and practices. Now, after the disaster that was the Bush Administration and the destruction heaped upon our economy and workers Rand Paul is showing just how out of touch with reality he can be.

Kentucky Republicans Stand Up For Outsourcing

by: RDemocrat

Tue Jun 01, 2010 at 22:04:13 PM EDT

The hypocrisy of the Republican Party is astounding. When in control of our government they took a surplus and turned it into a huge deficit. They allowed the worst attack ever on American soil and stole generations of Constitutional protections while starting two expensive and ongoing wars to hide their own incompetence. Their policies of spend, and spend, and then give out a little Corporate welfare all while outsourcing middle-class jobs was a failure, all while crashing the American economy in the ditch.

Coburn Hopes to "Out-Bunning" the Master

by: RDemocrat

Fri Mar 12, 2010 at 22:17:53 PM EST

Ah, the Republicans. Behind the guise of Christianity, fiscal responsibility, small government, or whatever they are calling it this week they constantly are seeking to find ways to show their complete scorn and hatred for their country and the folks within it who are just hoping to make enough money to move their families into the middle-class. We all remember how Jim Bunning, the most maniacal looney toon junior Senator from Kentucky sought to deny benefits to the workers Republicans policies displace by crashing the economy. Now, it appears as if that move was not heartless enough and another Republican has decided to once again show the American worker just how much scorn and hatred Republicans have for them. Yes, Tom Coburn is seeking to "Out-Bunning" the master himself, Jim Bunning.

Bunning and Kyl Blame Democrats for Their Own Hypocrisy

by: RDemocrat

Tue Mar 02, 2010 at 06:59:24 AM EST

Boy, the world of the Republican mind can be quite twisted. A Republican Senator from Kentucky who is retiring and has clearly been off his rocker for some time does what every Republican in their heart wants to do and blocks unemployment benefits for millions of workers Republican policies displaced as well as costing jobs and threatening the Television access of rural Americans and somehow that is the fault of the Democrats. However a deeper look shows that this is just what Republicans want and as usual with any move by the national Republican Party is ripe with fresh hypocrisy.

Republican Kindred Spirits Back Away From Bunning

by: RDemocrat

Sun Feb 28, 2010 at 21:21:17 PM EST

When Jim Bunning blocked unemployment benefits for those who lost their jobs due to the economy he helped crashed I would have to say that most Republicans were pretty torn. I mean, Kentucky's Repubican Senate candidates were all for it, and stated so publicly but in the Republican leadership there seems to be a little angst. See, Republicans simply cannot afford to let the American people hear how they really feel, but deep inside they are all Jim Bunning.

Kentucky's Crazy Uncle Spawns Two Looney Nephews

by: RDemocrat

Sat Feb 27, 2010 at 02:47:58 AM EST

One thing we have known in Kentucky for a long time now whatever political stripe you are is quite simply, Jim Bunning is the crazy uncle of Kentucky politics. His antics have been well documented, forcing Mitch McConnell to use his machine to force the walking embarrassment to a disgraced party out of the race in favor of someone he hopes can actually win against either strong candidate the Democrats can field. Well, now we are finding out that if a Repubican is elected in Kentucky we will not only lose a crazy uncle, but gain a crazy nephew.
